January 2012 - Pregnant!   Hello, not sure if this is the correct place to write this so apologies if I am wrong .  My parter underwent a VR on Sept 13 2011 by Mr Harris . We were all set to travel to Nottingham for his semen analysis on jan 13 however as of the 12 it is not necessary as I have found out I am pregnant !!!!!!  We are both over the moon and want to express our thanks to Mr Harris, he is amazing !!!! December 2011 - Less than 3 months after operation we are PREGNANT!!!! My husband had a vasectomy reversal on August 9th and less than 3 months later we found out that we are pregnant!!!! We did a LOT of research before we chose Duncan and we are truly blessed that we did. We flew from overseas as my husband had a vasectomy almost 9 years ago at the age of 35  during his first marriage. Due to the fact that his reversal was done quite a few years ago and that I am 39 years old we felt we had ONE shot and wanted it to be done by someone as talented as Duncan. December 2011 - Baby Due!   I am writing this email to let you know whats happening since my husbands reversal the end of June this year... After having the reversal he experienced haematoma,so his healing process took a little longer than anticipated..Duncan Harriss was extremely helpful and put both our minds at ease with a personal phone call after our GP told us it was very unlikely that we would concieve after having this problem..  Three months after the reversal we decided to go to our local hospital and pay to have the semen analysis done there as travelling to and from Nottingham would have probably cost the same if not more than the analysis...After 3 days we recieved our results,which were as follows....22 million,35% motility,30% forward progression,96% abnormal with 100% binding antibodies...results were borderline fertility,but because of the antibodies it could make falling pregnant quite a bit harder....we were slightly disappointed (obviously we knew this could happen and was no fault of Duncans) Around about three weeks after the results i done a pregnancy test,i wasn't late or anything,just suddenly had the urge to do a test...the test result had a very very faint positive line,so we waited a few days and done another more expensive test,and was confirmed...i was three weeks pregnant :D We had a scan last week and had confirmation that i was indeed 10 weeks 2 days pregnant with an EDD of the 27th June 2012,exactly a year to the day of my husbands vasectomy reversal!! November 2011 - A baby, 13 years after vasectomy.   My partner had the vasectomy reversal a year past auguast i fell pregnant early november that year we have since had a gorgious liitle boy...... November 2011 - 18 years after vasectomy & pregnant! Hi Bev Just to update you and Mr Harris regarding my reversal performed in March this year. As my vasectomy was performed 18 years ago our biggest risk of failure was a potential blockage. We worked hard to resolve this, which was lots of fun and were rewarded with a pretty good sperm count at the 12 week test carried out in June. We missed our first real opportunity to conceive in July due to being away on holiday, however, on our first planned attempt in August we were successful....... We are pleased to announce that our baby is due April 2012. Emma is now getting over her morning sickness and at 16 weeks is now starting to show, we are both enjoying the pregnancy experience and can't wait for the new arrival. November 2011 - Pregnant! I am writing to add a testimonial to your portfolio as I cannot believe the outcome of the my procedure. I am 40 years old and had a vasectomy 14 years ago at the age of 26 years; I had a vasectomy reversal procedure at the Park Hospital Nottingham on Wednesday 30th March 2011. I spent a great deal of time researching the procedure and decided upon a doctor HARRISS due to the excellent feedback I had seen from his patients regarding their treatment during ther procedure and the positive outcomes. I was delighted with the whole experience, the ward was well looked after and the team were extremely helpful and could not do enough to make my wife and I comfortable and at ease. My consultation prior to the procedure was both informative and reassuring and I had no concerns whatsoever. I returned to the Park on Thursday 4th August 2011 to give a sample for a sperm test; due to the distance I had to travel I received a bespoke service. I provided a sample prior to lunch and Dr Harriss made a space for me to see him the same day for a follow-up examination. That afternoon not only did I get to see Mr Harriss and discuss my post operative recovery but the result of the test had been fast tracked and I was given the news. I had an amazing result. I have 80 million sperm the majority of which were swimmers ad this after 14 years since my inital vasectomy. I returned home full of hope and expectation that we could now possible dream that we could complete our family with a baby. On Sunday 4th September 2011, Helen was four weeks pregnant. (Just over 20 weeks since the operation!!!) We checked with 4 pregnancy test kits!!! Today, 3rd November 2011 we have just had a dating scan at Yeovil Maternity Hospital: our baby is due on 11 th May 2012. November 2011 -Great results - 81 million 9 years post -op!     My Husband attended BMI park hospital in July 2011 and all the staff, receptionist, nurses and Mr Harriss made him feel comfortable and explained the procedure very well, his nerves were put at ease. The operation went well and he was discharged the next day. He did have some bruising and slight pain which he expected but took pain killers and rested.   Even thought we then had a 3 hour drive home he was okay and just rested when we got home, he has a manual job so just took 2 weeks off work and then was more or less back to normal. Just received the sperm results and we were over the moon as got 81.7 million per ml so just keeping our fingers crossed and see what happens.   We would defiantly recommend Mr Harriss and would like to give a big thankyou to all the staff involved A.C.

November 2011 - Positive feedback     I came up to Nottingham on Monday for my vasectomy reversal with Mr Harriss. After such a long time from deciding to go ahead with the operation and booking it, it all seemed to be over very quickly! I feel that I am recovering well, with no pain, just some aching and tenderness. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are helping with that though.   Mr Harriss was very good at answering my questions, and obviously very professional. When Mr Harriss came to see me on Tuesday morning he said that the operation had gone well, with no problems and that it had been very straightforward - that was exaclty what I wanted to hear. All of the nursing staff on Wollaton ward were so friendly and caring. They made me smile, made sure I was looked after, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.   This was the first time I had ever been in a private hospital, and it was a real eye-opener compared to the NHS! In fact, I kept calling it a hotel! The room I stayed in was absolutely spotless, and it was great to have an en-suite. Also, the food I had was really lovely, and I know that my partner Claire enjoyed the food in the restaurant too. She said that the price of the meals available was brilliant - £3 for sausages, beans, hash browns and fried bread! It was really great that Claire was also able to stay in the hospital, just a few doors away down the corridor. She said that it put her mind at rest being able to make sure I was okay before we went to sleep, and to be able to be there in the morning not long after I woke up.   Thank you again so much to everyone involved.   Best wishes M.T.

November 2011 - A Thank You.   I would like to record my sincere thanks to Mr Harriss, the anaesthetist and indeed the whole of Mr Harriss' team, for the highly professional skill, nursing professionalism and care, shown to me in my recent stay for a vasectomy reversal. At 50 years of age and some 8 1/2 years since my vasectomy, It would be fair to say that I was very apprehensive of the procedure, but was instantly put at ease on arrival at 5pm, were I was met by kind and understanding staff at the hospital, who went to a lot of trouble to help me get settled.. I soon met Mr Harriss and the Anaesthetist (sorry, can't recall his name) in the comfort of my private room, where they both patiently and politely went through the procedure with me, following which I was left well informed and comfortable with what was to happen. I found their informal and re-assuring manner very comforting and both were very helpful and willing to take plenty of time in explaining everything to me. I was made comfortable from the very start and the nursing staff cared for me both before the op, on arrival at the theatre and during my recovery afterwards. My procedure was later the same evening, but I was cared for well beforehand and a meal was provided afterwards, as was an excellent breakfast the following morning. Nursing staff checked on me throughout the night and I was comforted by the continual care taken over my well-being and comfort. The procedure went well and I was delighted to be visited by Mr Harriss early the next morning to be told that he, too, was pleased with the operation and had been able to re-connect both tubes without complication. Following the operation, I experienced only mild discomfort, though some bruising, but which was exactly as I had been made aware of beforehand and, as such, I was able to deal with at home without undue concern. The incision healed well and now I have a scar, which can barely be seen. I'm now fully recovered and waiting with anticipation/excitement for the 3-month analysis to see if all has indeed "gone well" Overall, I found the experience to be a very positive one and would highly recommend Mr Harriss and his team to anyone considering a similar procedure. I had a first-class service, which made the whole process a very positive and rewarding experience, and I again extend my thanks to Mr Harriss and his team for their care. October 2011 - A pregnancy!   hi, just e-mailing you to give you an update on the vascectomy reversal that i had at the BMI park hospital on the 27th june this year by Duncan Harriss, My recovery took about 4 weeks as i had haemtoma. After that had cleared i had no problems at all. I had my semen analysis performed at my local hospital Princess Anne,Southampton on the 27th September,as getting to Nottingham and back would prove to be awkward due to work commitments. The results were as follow 22 million per mil,35% motile,30% progressively motile,forward progression rating moderate,100% binding antisperm antibodies,96% abnormal....the results were a little disappointing as the presence of anti sperm anti bodies were extremely strong,so we were looking to the next step which possibly would be IUI...In the meantime,about a week ago my wife took a pregnancy test,and it was positive!!! We are 4 weeks 4 days pregnant,still very early days but the conception is a miracle in itself... we are so happy and are trully grateful to Duncan Harriss for making this possible for us,fingers crossed we have a happy and healthy next 8 months...We will keep you informed...Many thanks R.C.

October 2011 - 2 Babies within 18 months!     We approached Mr Harris in April 2008 to discuss the prospect of a vasectomy reversal, some five years after my original operation. I had my reversal a month later, and my wife and I were delighted to find out it was successful. September 2011 - A thank you   Hi Bev,          I had my VR in September 2011, and just wanted to let you know that all is well. I've had very little pain and the wound is healing up nicely.    We would just like to add that we were very impressed with the whole process in the Park hospital. The room was comfortable, the staff were fantastic and Mr. Harris was very professional and informative, yet very friendly.    I am still amazed at how simply the process was for me, I remember the awful feeling I got when I was told that it was time! It soon disappeared as I was going through the information processes as your staff put me at ease. I felt a little anxiety when it was time for the anaesthetic, not having had one before, the next thing I remember was waking in the recovery room what seemed to be two minutes later. When I was taken back to my room I still couldn't believe it was all done!    I was very happy when Mr. Harris came to see me, and told me that he was very satisfied with the result of the op, as he managed to join both of my tubes without any difficulty. July 2011 - 4 months pregnant!   My Husband attended in Dec 2011 for a vasectomy reversal performed by Mr Harris, we were given a 50/50 chance given my husband had his vasectomy over 10 years ago. We found the process from booking a consultation through to attending for the op very swift, on the day of the op the staff at the Park Hospital were extremely courteous and professional making both my husband and myself feel at ease. The operation was extremely quick and my husband was back in the room within an hour, having been told it all went well. We eagerly waited for the sperm count results which were returned promptly giving 110 million sperm per ml (normal 20 million per ml) but with only 15% motility, we were however advised that motility would hopefully improve over time and a pregnancy was still possible. Well the proof is in the pudding....I'm 4 months pregnant!!! Our baby is due Jan 2012!! We have had the first scan and everything is ok at this stage, it was amazing to see our baby wriggling about on the screen when only 8 months ago we weren't sure if it would ever happen for us! July 2011 - After IVF, a successful vasectomy reversal     Hi Bev   I just wanted to let you know how grateful we both are. My Husband had a vasectomy 13 years ago and we decided to go down the IVF route as we were advised the chances of a successful vasectomy reversal operation were slim. On the second attempt I fell pregnant and we were ecstatic. Sadly I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and we were devastated. June 2011 - 23 years after vasectomy and pregnant!     Hello to Dr Harris and his Team,   I am e-mailing to let you know that after performing a Vasectomy Reversal on my husband last June at the Park Hospital in Nottingham, one year on I am 33 weeks pregnant and our baby is due on the 18th August. Even though it was explained that since the vasectomy had taken place more than 23 years earlier and that the chances of success were only approximately 20% we were still optimistic. May 2011 - 16 years post vasectomy: A Pregnancy!   Hello there, we just wanted to share our wonderful news after finding out we are almost 8 weeks pregnant! We attended your clinic for a reversal in November 09, it had been 16 years since the original operation and you were very honest about success rates. We were thrilled with the results 3 months later, that it had been a complete success. We tried for just over a year till we found that I had a polyp that may of been causing problems. May 2011 - A baby girl on the way!   Hi Bev, I hope that you and Dr. Harriss are both well, I always look on the site and your facebook group for recent news and it's great to see all the success! :-) I sent you a testimonial back in Jan, (I've copied and pasted it as a refresh)   Dear Duncan and Bev, I am writing to you with some very good news! S had his vasectomy reversal on the 13th Sept 2010, 8 years after his original vasectomy. Although both sides were reattached, there was some difficulty with one side due to a previous operation. The week before christmas we received our sperm analysis results, which were a very low 1million p/ml with only 4% of those swimming, so although we were very pleased it had worked and there was sperm present, we thought we were in it for the long haul. Just over 2weeks later, I found out I was pregnant! Amazing! We are still in shock and couldnt be happier! So from VR to conception was only 16 weeks, with only 4%!! A miracle! Thank you so much Duncan and to your team and I hope this brings hope and encouragement to many others. May 2011 - 14 years post vasectomy     After a terrible experience at a local BMI hopsital we were left devatsed by the brutal news that had been delivered to us. We pulled ourselves together and started to research our options in the hope of getting a second opinion with a better prognosis. We were delighted when Mr Harris got back to us to tell us that there is still a good chance that we could have children. On arrival at the clinic we were made to feel instantly comfortable and at ease, staff nurse Dorothy Taylor looked after us and was so lovely, warm and caring. She took a real interest in our situation and before she went off shift she came back to see us to wish us all the best! Mr Harris was professional and approachable and again had a wonderful bed side manner which made us both feel in very good hands. April 2011 - A Thank You.     Thank you for your letter which i received today. It is now 6 days since my reversal op and i wanted to write to say how pleased i was with the whole procedure. Whilst it is in the 'lap of the gods' as to it working or not i can highly commend the level of service that i received from both you and the staff at Park Hospital. My stay was made extremely comfortable and level of nursing care was exemplary.    I have followed the advice i was given carefully and can candidly state that up until now i have not had any pain. There is obviously a little bruising and a very slight ache but nothing that has required me to take even the lightest of pain killers. March 2011 - A Huge "Thank You"   Dear Bev - Duncan Harriss and Dr Matthew's. Once again I cant thank you enough for the expertise and care showed last Monday at the BMI Park Hospital Nottingham. As you know I was extremely nervous going into the operation but had faith that I had chosen the right surgeon and team to perform my vasectomy reversal operation. The nursing team at the Park, Mary and Carol were so kind and alleviated any fears once I got onto the ward/room. The consultation with DH which I opted for on the day was thorough and carefully explained, Dr Matthew's popped in for the pre-op chat and by that time I was even more relaxed. GA was fine - no pain post-op - very comfortable managed to go home later that evening and rest up. The next few days I was told to rest up and keep off my feet - this advice proved to be crucial and I would stress the importance of this - i.e. swelling/bruising needs to come out and go down, the more you are on the feet the worse the selling can be, luckily I had none of this due to sticking to the advice by Mr Harriss. Its early days yet and who knows what's going to happen next, but at this stage I am delighted I have had the procedure done and remain very hopeful for the future. My advice to anyone considering vasectomy reversal - would be do speak with Mr Harriss/Bev and ask as many questions to understand the procedure and expectations My top tips would be 1 rest up for the first week off your feet as much as poss 2 don't touch the wound ! Use separate towel to wipe wound , I used sterile gauze from my chemist to keep wound clean dry etc 3 don't worry about the bruising and swelling - keep off your feet and it goes quicker Once again I can't thank Duncan , Bev And Dr Matthews enough. March 2011 - A Better Experience   Having had a less than satisfactory experience with my first vasectomy reversal, I found the whole experience under the care of Mr Harriss to be much better.  Mr Harriss saw us for the initial consultation, whereupon everything was explained in detail including any costs together with any possible complications and the expected result, we left feeling very positive and happy having booked Mr Harriss for the procedure.  The procedure was a much better experience than I had previously received during the first reversal, the hospital was clean and tidy and the nursing staff were proffessional and approachable at all times, Mr Harriss was proffessional, approachable and he made the whole experience very personal.  All in all I would recommend Mr Harriss every time.   Many thanks L.H.

March 2011 - A Higher Level of Treatment   Hello Bev Having had a vasectomy reversal procedure performed by Duncan Harriss on Monday 14th March and thought you would appreciate some feedback on my experience at the Park Hospital. Firstly, the choice of hospital was dictated by my choice of surgeon. I wanted an expert who could achieve the best possible outcome for my Vasectomy reversal procedure. My choice of Mr Harriss was based on my research of procedure methods, success rates and patient referrals. I have never used a private hospital before, previous operations etc having been performed at NHS run hospitals. What is clear from my stay at the Park Hospital is that you get what you pay for; from the moment I registered at reception the focus was on me, all staff were attentive, professional, caring and showed a genuine interest in both myself and my wife who stayed over with me. I had the usual pre-op consultation with both the anaesthetist and Mr Harris, the difference I noticed straight away was the manner in which both gentlemen treated us which was with genuine interest and not rushed. The procedure went very well, no sickness, nausea or discomfort from the anaesthetic and no pain from the surgery, to me this is indicative of the level of professionalism and expertise held by the theatre team. Post operative care was first class, nothing was too much trouble, food was excellent, room was comfortable and it had a TV which I didn't have to pay for as an extra. All in all, I was impressed, the whole experience was actually very enjoyable. To sum up, I have learnt a valuable lesson; "Going Private" doesn't just buy you a fast track ticket to treatment, it actually buys you a higher level of treatment and care where the patient is the number 1 priority. When we had the 3 month scan everything was perfect and we are so happy and thankful to you for all you did.   When we had the results from my sperm test 4 months after the reversal, although we were delighted that it had been successful, we were initially disappointed that the results were low (2 million per ml and 15% motility). I then had another sperm test 3 months later and my count had gone down! (1.8 million per ml and 10% motility). Little did we know at that time that my wife was already pregnant!! February 2011 - Pregnant!     Hello Doctor Harriss   Hope you and all your team are well.   We just wanted to keep you updated following my reverse vasectomy carried out by your goodself back in October 2010.  I am delighted in saying that L, is now 13 weeks pregnant!!  When we came to see you L was my fiancee but on the 24th December we tied the knot and now she is my wife,  On the 11th December L, carried out a pregnancy test which proved positive, we honestly could not believe our eyes.  We did again carry out another pregnancy test a few days later just to see the same result. It was amazing!  On our wedding day, we thought it would be the ideal day to share our dream news with all our family and close friends.. and that is certainly what we did,  There was not a dry eye in the house, our wedding day was going to be very special anyway being on christmas eve, but just by us being able to share this news made it extra special and a day we or anyone else wont ever forget.   We went for our first scan yesterday and all is just fantastic, I really just can not thank you and all your team enough in giving us the end result we have only dreamt about.  You and your team are amazing in what you do and you should all take a step back and just be very proud of the work you do and what amazing results you achieve!  We will certainly keep you updated and once again a HUGE HUGE thankyou!!!   Take care I.K.

February 2011 - A pregnancy!     Dear Bev & Mr. Harriss   We are delighted to let you know that we have had a positive pregnancy test this week!   My reversal was performed in mid November 2010; just over 4 years since my vasectomy. We discovered Mr. Harriss and www.yourvasectomyreversal.co.uk during extensive internet research, and were initially skeptical that the quoted cost for the procedure was substantially lower than other providers. However, we were confidently reassured by Mr. Harriss's team and went ahead.   The service at the BMI hospital was superb, with compassionate and caring support from all staff. Our consultation with Mr. Harriss was excellent, and he gave a realistic and reassuring assessment of the chances of success. His bedside manner and sense of humour are excellent, and it is clear that he has great passion for what he does. The consultation chat was very comfortable, with a bit of humour thrown in, which is exactly what we needed, as by this time my husband was extremely nervous. The operation was explained in great detail and all of our questions answered with complete honesty and understanding.   As we are post 10 years since the original vasectomy we have been given a 50% chance of success. We were asked how that compared with our expectations, and like most, if not all of the couples contemplating a reversal any percentage has to be worth a try, and we were more than happy to go ahead with the operation. Shortly after the chat it was time!   My husband came back just over an hour later, slightly muzzy from the anaesthetic, but in minimal pain. He had a comfortable night and was given the all clear to go home the following day. Mr Harriss came to see us to discuss how the operation had gone both after surgery and the following day. We were relieved and thrilled to hear that it went well and that both tubes had been re-joined without any difficulty.   Mr Harriss is charming, professional and clearly very very good at what he does. We even found out that we both have a love for Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands! Duncan has done all he can do now, and it is up to us to try and make this happen.   We honestly can not thank him enough!!   We hope to be in touch with good news in 3 months time!   With great thanks and appreciation C.R.

January 2011 - A Baby   Hi Bev, Duncan wrote us a nice letter last February when we advised you that S had fallen pregnant. The good news is that on 8th October Finley Jack was born fit and healthy weighing 9lb 6oz in Yeovil hospital. He's now 3 months old and we have had some photos done, and we thought you might like to have a few.  We're happy for you to use them for the testimonial section of your website or on other publicity material. You probably have the details on file, but just to say that I had the reversal aged 45 after having had a vascectomy 12 years previously, and S fell pregnant aged 32, 6 months after the operation. January 2011 - A pregnancy!     Dear Duncan and Bev,   I am writing to you with some very good news! S had his vasectomy reversal on the 13th Sept 2010, 8 years after his original vasectomy. Although both sides were reattached, there was some difficulty with one side due to a previous operation. The week before christmas we received our sperm analysis results, which were a very low 1million p/ml with only 4% of those swimming, so although we were very pleased it had worked and there was sperm present, we thought we were in it for the long haul. Just over 2weeks later, I found out I was pregnant! Amazing! We are still in shock and couldnt be happier! So from VR to conception was only 16 weeks, with only 4%!! January 2011 - Great results - 15 years post vasectomy!    I had my vasectomy reversal on 13th September 2010 and my partner and I were both treated excellently by all involved. January 2011 - A pregnancy update.. Dear Catherine, Just to keep you all up to speed, Mr Duncan Harriss performed a reverse vasectomy on myself on June 28 2010 after having a vascectomy on January 6 1996. All thing considered, he would only give a 50% chance of a pregnancy after the operation. As it was, 50% is better that 0%, to be honest, if he had said 5% only, I still would of pressed on ahead with the operation. 5 weeks after the operation my wife was pregnant. Our prayers and wishes had been answered!!! She is now 22 weeks. All went well with the 11 and 20 week scans. No complications, 'all is how it should be'. We are now looking forward to the birth of our Son on May 14. We will of course, keep you informed. December 2010  - A thank you    Dear Bev,   Just a quick note to thank all the staff at The Park Hospital for the great care they afforded my partner and me two weeks ago. We were really impressed with the way we were treated from the moment we entered the Hospital, ‘booked’ in and kept informed on what I should expect. We both found Dr Harriss bedside manner extremely comforting, he made time to talk to us and understand our own wants and concerns. I was very nervous about the operation as I had never had a general anaesthetic before. However I need not have worried. I awoke with very little pain and discomfort. I did wish that I had been kept asleep a bit longer as I had the misfortune to catch the second half of the ill-fated England France football game. However my evening meal and breakfast was a welcome treat. November 2010  - A pregnancy!   Dear Bev & Mr Harriss, they say that us English only write about a service when it has been bad so it is with deep joy that i write here to tell you about the excellent service we received when my husband came in for his vasectomy reversal in April 2010. Right from the first point of contact Bev put my mind at ease and answere all the questions she was able to and even cheered me up when i became a bit overwhelmed and teary on the phone. Mr Harriss was not what we expected of a surgeon and was very down to earth and easy to talk to. The day of the operation he came and saw us in the room prior to the surgery and informed us what would be happening and even phoned me after to let me know all was well. We decided not to have the SA as to us Mr Harriss had given us the best hope possible by performing the reversal and the actual numbers can seem a bit intimidating. In October 2010 just 5 months after the operation we found out we are expecting our first baby and last week at my 12 week scan the baby is healthy and strong and due in June 2011. We really couldn't recommend Mr Harriss enough and even though he was not the closest to us he was deffinatley worth the travelling for. I will let you know once baby is here. Regards M.M.

September 2010 - Pregnant!   We would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Harriss and his team involved in my husband's vasectomy reversal in October 2009, 11 years after the original vasectomy.  By early February 2010 he received fantastic results for sperm count and motility and I became pregnant in March 2010 aged 41.  Unfortunately an early miscarriage followed, but I am pleased to say that I have just discovered I am pregnant again (September 2010) just before my 42nd birthday.  Fingers crossed for this one, but whatever the outcome we cannot thank Duncan enough for giving us the chance to at least try for our dream.  My husband felt well looked after at The Park Hospital and was happy with the aftercare he received when he needed reassurance over the healing process. September 2010 - Another pregnancy!     My wife and i would like to thank Mr Harriss and his team for the care shown to me during my vasectomy reversal. September 2010 - A Baby!     Bev,   After some time since last contacting you, I thought I should let you know that Lucy gave birth to our daughter, Charlotte Grace, on 12 June, so she is now just short of three months old and doing fine!   I recall that I rang you last summer to say that Lucy was pregnant, but sadly she miscarried during July 2009, at about 11 weeks. This was really upsetting, and we were of course advised to not try again until she had had one normal period. Although the miscarriage was a very unpleasant experience, leaving a big hole in our lives, we decided that we had to try again straight away. Lucy also recovered very quickly, both mentally and physically, and at almost the very first opportunity she fell pregnant again before the end of August, and the net outcome is that we now have a beautiful little daughter.    This is all nothing short of a miracle to us. Two years ago, I was physically unable to become a father again, and having met Duncan for a consultation, his calculated assessment was that the reversal procedure gave us no more than a 30% chance of success (given that 8 years had passed since I had the original vasectomy operation) However, we took the corageous approach, and pressed on with the reversal operation. Again, all I can do is sing praises to Duncan and the team for both the straight, honest, direct guidance to us, and of course for his success in carrying out such a succesful reversal!   We sometimes stop to pinch ourselves, knowing that we now have a family of our own, and in fact the last piece of the jigsaw occurs in October, when we finally get married. August 2010 - An amazing story My husband and i have been together for 12 years. from the beginning of our relationship we spoke about our desire to have a family together. Having previously undergone a vasectomy my Husband was willing to undergo a reversal to help our dream come true. 9 years passed by where we found ourselves financially able to move forward with our dream. We met with Dr Harris in 2006 and my husband underwent surgery in Feb 2007. We weren't given much hope after the operation and our hope was crushed in June 07 when we received  the results of zero sperm count. We dusted ourselves down and accepted a life without a family of our own. We'd even contemplated selling up and travelling around the world. I thought i was going through early menopause when my period was 2wks late. I took a pregnancy test to rule out the impossibility (so i thought). That was Aug 30th 2009. July 2010     Mr Harriss did my reversal in June 2010. I did what I was told, showering twice a day and on the 14 day ofter operation we were to make love. This was the instruction. The first time and every day since, its like never before, so intense. I have noticed also that I want to drink water, like loads of it. June 2010 - 13 years after vasectomy and pregnant!   Mr Partner came to see Mr Harriss last year with regards to a vasectomy reversal - We didn't hold much hope at all of it working as it had been some 13yrs since he had the original vasectomy operation.  Our own GP told us that NO reversal would work with it being so long ago.?! After seeing Mr Harriss and speaking to yourself we felt more confident about the operation..Even though we knew there was no guarantee it would work we rang back after the New year to book in for the reversal and you was kind enough to get him in for the operation within 3 working days - He had his operation at the end of January.. The operation went without any problems apart from a small infection a few days later, but after a quick call to yourself, you got us booked straight back in to see Mr Harriss - a course of antibiotics soon cleared the infection. We received my partner's results at the end of April and to our delight he had 20 million live sperm with around 90% swimming, which was a lot more then we had hoped for! This was the best news ever. And to end this email on a high - we have just found out that im approx 4 weeks pregnant and due around the beginning of Feb 2011 ! ! !  (and this is without trying fully for a baby due to work pressures, planning a wedding for July this yr and renovating a house! ! ) I don't have any children of my own and due to the vasectomy over 13yrs ago I had resigned myself to the fact that I would never be a mum.  But due to the brilliant work Mr Harriss and his team performed you have all given me the most precious gift we could ever ever of wished for. Please will you pass on my highest thanks and regards to Mr Harriss, his team and the Nursing staff that looked after my partner on the few days he was in hospital..  We would also like to thank you,  for your prompt and caring assistance from day one until today. June 2010 - And Pregnant!   Vasectomy reversal 11th Jan 2010 BMI Nottingham Good morning Bev, Firstly I am writing to say that from contacting you right through to the sperm count test, I was treated in a kind, understanding and professional manner. Everything was explained to me in a clear and understandable way. I felt so at ease with the procedure and was made very comfortable after. The chances of my vasectomy reversal working after 9 years we were told were slim, but we looked around for the best and we found him. May 2010 - Very happy    I have just received a follow up letter regarding the result of my sperm count, which Dr Harris performed three months ago in January 2010. January 2010 - and a pregnancy   I wonder if you could pass on the news to Mr Harriss that S did a test this morning and is confirmed pregnant after my reversal operation last June.  This is fantastic news (it was twelve years since my vasectomy) for us and we are both hugely grateful to the excellent work of Mr Harriss and all him team at BMI Healthcare. January 2010 Thought I would write you guys a note to say a big thank you. I was going to wait a few months but I felt the kindness you showed my partner & I at the hospital was just wonderful. A few years have past since visiting the UK & although I keep close contact with my immediate family my choice to distance myself from home was simple, I had lost a lot of faith in the country. Having my house burgled & cars damaged was part of the norm until I decided I really had enough of the place (hence my move to China). You guys on the other hand reinstalled a lot of that lost faith, from the time I entered reception to the moment I left the hospital you all made me feel welcome & at ease. Please, if you get the time, let all the people I came in contact with know that I thank them from the bottom of my heart. It really was a difficult decision to make to have the op but you & the team made it an easy one. November 09 - and a pregnancy Thought we ought to let you know that the day after coming for my sperm count on the 23rd January (three months after the operation), we found out that ...... is pregnant. We would just like to thank Mr Harriss for giving us this chance, considering we had a very small chance of this working as Mr Harriss had complications with the operation and due to his patience, skill and professionalism we are now looking forward to the end of September when our baby is due.  Thank You so much to everyone on your team for making this happen for us....... Not sure if I replied to the last email about using our comments for the testimonial section, we would be more than happy for you to.   The reason I'm writing today is that before Mr Harriss did my reversal I suffered a lot of pain. Mr Harriss asked me to let him know if the pain eased, well yes it has and it really feels like its back to normal, so once again please can you pass our gratitude on to Mr Harriss. S. W.

I write to say how fantastic the test results are, and that we are still completely thrilled at the opportunity the procedure has given us to think of starting a family. That the original prediction of success for the operation of less than 30% by Mr Harriss has converted into a complete 100% success, some seven years after the original vasectomy, proves to me the benefit of coming across to Park Hospital. We are both so grateful to Duncan and the Park Hospital team for giving us the chance to transform our lives- I often relive that moment when you gave me the good news on the test results, believing initially that they would be disappointing only to realise that my count was as good as if I had never had the vasectomy in the first place! July 2009 - and pregnant! After having my vasectomy in June 2004,We realised some time later we would like (if possible) another child,5 years after the original op we saw Mr Harriss who said he was hopeful of success,after the op in Nov 2008 we are happy to inform you my wife is now 14 weeks pregnant with the baby due in Jan 2010. A pregnancy!   I was well aware that the chances of having a successful operation decrease depending on how long ago the original operation was. Whilst researching the procedure I formed the opinion that I could increase the likelihood of success by finding the best surgeon I could, which is why I approached Mr Harriss.
