The Reverse Vasectomy Operation
1. This operation is performed under a general anaesthetic and usually requires an overnight stay in hospital. It is quite different to the original vasectomy as the very small tubes (the vas deferens) need to be rejoined using tiny stitches and microsurgery to make them watertight. The stitches are so small, they are similar to those used for cardiac surgery.
2. Mr Harriss has performed over 1000 reverse vasectomy operations. He has never not been able to perform a vasectomy reversal because of the way in which the vasectomy was done.
3. We are based in Nottingham and people come and see Mr Harriss from all over Europe, the Middle east, China, New Zealand, Africa and the UK for either their reverse vasectomy operation or their re-do reversal having had their first reversal elsewhere and had a poor experience.
5. You do NOT need to see your GP first. You can, if you want, see Mr Harriss for a consultation before booking your reverse vasectomy but you can opt to see him and have your vasectomy reversal on the same day (which most people decide to do). The cost is the same.
6. There are various ways to pay for the operation including the BMI Payment Plan Card.
1. If you stay overnight after your reversal of vasectomy, then you will be free to go home the following morning.
2. Generally, we advise at least a week off work with 2 weeks off sport 2 weeks. We can help you organise this.
3. After 3 months, you can have your sperm analysis here in Nottingham. This is included in the price.
4. The price includes 30 days care post-operatively should you require it.
5. Due to the type of anaesthetic, there is a quick recovery with no "hang-over" effect, no pain and a quicker over-all recovery from the operation

1. Mr Harriss's results are published on Facebook so that all can see a selection of his results.
